Know the limits
Local does not mean unlimited.
Browser processing avoids an upload workflow, but available memory, PDF structure, digital signatures, and the settings you select still matter.
- Only areas selected by the user are removed.
- Flattening removes searchable text, links, forms, and accessibility structure from processed pages.
- The original and any earlier copies remain unchanged and must still be protected.

Clear answers
PDF redactor questions.
Are the black boxes removable?
The exported pages are newly rendered images containing replacement pixels, not editable cover annotations.
Does this preserve selectable text?
No. The safe fallback deliberately flattens processed pages, which removes searchable text and interactive structures.
Can the tool find every secret automatically?
No. Manual review is required and surrounding context may still reveal information.
